The Julian Brown Science Award encourages high school academic participation in the physical sciences. Faculty members select those students whose interest in science is evidenced by strong academic performance, and participation in competitive events and extracurricular activities. An engraved plaque is presented to the student, in the name of the Julian Brown Memorial Fund, with the donor’s name prominently displayed on the plaque. The cash component of the award will be offered in a $1000 scholarship, presented at the end of year award session.
This is a new endeavor for the Julian Brown Memorial Fund, which we hope to expand across various public high schools.
All Julian Brown Memorial Fund scholarships are allocated on the basis of merit and need. The selection of candidates is based on the evaluation of a submitted application. All applicants are appropriately and professionally notified.
