Julian Brown Memorial Fund

Security Policy

lock and chain.jpgThe Julian Brown Memorial Fund uses the payment processors PayPal or IATS to complete your donation transactions.  These well known online payment processors are payment card industry (PCI) and data security standard (DSS) compliant.  This designation means that these companies utilize the latest encryption technology and fraud dectection techniques, to protect your payment card information. In fact, although it may be transparent to you, when you submit your donation for authorization, that transaction may occur completely on these sites.

As a fraud-prevention measure, we will send an email confirmation for every online donation that you make with us.  If you receive email confirmation of a transaction that you did not approve, contact us and we will work with you to quickly resolve the issue. You will not be responsible for the charges.

For all donations $75.00 or higher, the Internal Revenue Service requires that we send you a certain type of receipt for your donation, in order to preserve your tax deductibility. Please save your transaction receipt, which will be delivered to you as an email confirmation, and in certain instances, by both postal and electronic mail.
